What do you think are the real reasons Matt Gaetz just withdrew his name for Attorney General in the upcoming Trump administration?

That’s why it happened. He didn’t have the votes to become Attorney General and he was embarrassing Donald Trump both of those are also true.

The main thing is that the story got worse.

Gaetz apparently had sex with her a second time.

How should one handle a situation where they suspect their partner of cheating, but their partner denies it and claims it is all in their head?

It’s pretty straight forward: Gaetz was accused of having sex with a 17 year old in 2017, this was already the established narrative and in the public eye prior to today and part of the Greenburg narrative. What came out today and sunk his chances was this;

When reporters asked him to confirm this story, he withdrew his candidacy.

Gaetz just made Clinton look like a choir boy.

At what stage in your life did you realize, "No, I can't do this any more" and walk out? Why?

Republicans were trying to make a meal of the idea that Gaetz didn’t know that she was 17 until after the sex had occured. If that was the case, why did he go back for another round?

Why is this such a scandal?
